Permits have been issued for the construction of a new residential townhome complex at 3440 N Central Avenue in Portage Park. The project, initiated on April 6, 2023, and approved on November 6, 2023, will feature nine two-story townhomes, each with a basement and a separate two-vehicle masonry garage.
Architect Beata Klak is responsible for the design of the townhomes, which will include open entry stairs, rear stairs, and a combination of wood and iron fencing. Each individual townhome will have its own address, ranging from from 3440 to 3458 N Central Ave.
Electrical work for the development will be carried out by Affordable Construction & Elec. MK Construction & Builders will manage the overall construction, with All Concrete Chicago Inc and MK Construction Builders Inc handling masonry.
The project has an anticipated cost of $1,800,000, with permit fees totaling $26,400.44. When completed, residents of this development will be approximately an 8 minute walk to the south from stops for the 77 and 85 bus lines.
