Permits have been issued for a renovation project at 2222 S Leavitt Street in Heart of Chicago. The focus of the project is on rectifying building code violations and enhancing the property’s overall condition.
Owned by Golden Fire Group LLC, represented by Lukasz Hodurek, the renovation involves significant interior alterations to the existing two-story, two-unit apartment building with a basement. The building, classified as VA construction with R-5 occupancy, will undergo improvements in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. One of the key aspects of this renovation includes the underpinning of foundation walls. Additionally, the project involves rebuilding stairs from the basement to the first floor and repairing the rear frame enclosed porch.
Architect Andy Kacprzynski is overseeing the design and execution of the renovation, and H & H Estate, Inc, based in Chicago, will serve as the general contractor. Masonry contractor E & B Masonry, Inc. will address the structural and aesthetic masonry requirements. Family Heating & Cooling is responsible for both refrigeration and ventilation systems.
Expedited by M M Engineering & Associates, the renovation has a budget of $150,000, with permit fees totaling $1,225.00.
