The owner of the project is By The Hand Club For Kids, an organization that provides educational and mentorship programs to children from under-resourced neighborhoods in Chicago, aiming to improve literacy skills, health, and spiritual development. The design for this indoor farm is credited to Joseph Buehler.
Miguel Rodriguez is the listed general contractor overseeing the construction process. The reported cost for the project is $2,075.00, while the anticipated completion date remains unknown.

It would be so beneficial if there was a South Shore stop at 130th. It wouldn’t be that expensive to build either.
