A construction permit has been approved for a new mixed-use development at 503 E Pershing Road in Bronzeville. The project comprises a five-story building with 32 residential units and retail space on the first floor.
DOM Acquisitions LLC owns the development, and the architectural design is by Hanna Architects. Features detailed in the filing include a rooftop stair enclosure, an elevator over-run, and balconies on the second through fifth stories. The building will also have a first-floor 11-car garage, five exterior parking spaces on a concrete pad, and a masonry trash enclosure.
Closest bus service can be found for Route 39, with stops at Pershing & Vincennes via a one-minute walk east. A seven-minute walk east leads to additional stops for Route 4 along the intersection of Cottage Grove & Pershing. CTA L service offers access to Green Line trains at Indiana station via a 12-minute walk southwest.
DOM Properties Investment is the general contractor for the development. The construction is estimated to cost around $8,722,200. No official completion date has been announced.
