A construction permit has been issued for a new industrial development located at 6311 W Dickens Avenue in Galewood. This new development is intended to treat wastewater discharge, and will rise on a site that was previously used by a wholesale bakery.
Hostess Brands, LLC owns the project. The new building will have 10-inch insulated precast panels on a reinforced concrete base. Features include an 8-inch concrete slab, steel joists, and EPDM roofing. Inside, there will be 6-inch CMU partitions and a mezzanine with metal joists and a lightweight concrete slab.
Staalsen Construction Co. is the designated general contractor for this development, and the construction is projected to cost $1,750,000. As of now, an estimated completion date has not been announced.
