A construction permit has been issued for a mixed-use development at 830 N California Avenue in Humboldt Park. This four-story masonry building will contain three residential dwelling units and retail space on the ground floor. It will also feature a new rear metal deck and stairs, as well as a three-space carport. The project will replace what was previously an undeveloped site. Judson Christensen of Aurora, IL, is listed as the owner.

With Andrew Wang as the architect of record, the complete design details have not been made publicly available.

The closest bus transit offers service for Routes 66 and 94, both at the intersection of Chicago & California via a two-minute walk south. The nearest Metra access can be found at Western Avenue, a 15-minute walk southeast.

TreeWright Construction Service is serving as the general contractor for the project, which has a reported construction cost of $1,400,000. As of now, no estimated completion date has been announced.
