A renovation permit has been green lit for an existing restaurant at 3311 W Bryn Mawr Avenue in the North Park neighborhood. The site, currently owned by Bart Kabore Sidzanbnoma, will undergo significant improvements to modernize its interior space and enhance the functionality of its kitchen.

The renovations will be overseen by architect Marco A. Gutierrez. According to the details provided in the permit filing, the 1,173-square-foot project will include new interior finishes, a relocated kitchen exhaust hood, upgraded cooking equipment, countertop upgrades, and revamped lighting. Additional upgrades include an electrical service upgrade, HVAC system rebalancing, and plumbing modifications. The wooden staircase from the second-floor apartment unit will be replaced in the same location.

The location offers several transit options. Bus service for Route 82 is a five-minute walk away. Meanwhile, CTA L service is available at the Brown Line at the Kimball station, via a 23-minute walk from the restaurant.

The general contractor for the renovation project is Wabash Contractors. Additional contractors enlisted for the project include Michael Sloan for electrical work, Cascade Plumbing and Sewer Service for plumbing, and DWA Construction for refrigeration and ventilation services. The reported cost for the construction is pegged at $40,000, but as of now, an estimated completion date has not been announced.
