A construction permit has been issued for a new residential development located at 5847 W Corcoran Place in the Austin neighborhood. The two-story building will feature a total of three apartment units with a basement level, front stairs and porch, a rear two-story deck, and stairs, as well as a side six-foot-tall wood fence, and a rear three-vehicle parking pad. The project replaces what is currently a vacant lot. The listed owner is A-Z Builders Inc., while the architect for the project is Andy Kacprzynski.
Adjacent of the site along the intersection of Mayfield & Corcoran are stops for bus Routes 313 and 315. Additional bus service for Route 309 and 91, along with the CTA Green Line’s Austin Station, is a four-minute walk west.
A-Z Plus Remodeling, Inc is the general contractor for the project, working with several subcontractors including DS Construction, Inc. for masonry, Watermax Plumbing, Inc. for plumbing, and Zima HVAC, Inc. for ventilation and refrigeration. The reported construction cost is $450,000. No further timeline details have been revealed for the project.
