A construction permit has been issued for a two-story daycare facility at 6706 S Emerald Avenue in Englewood, with plans for the structure to span approximately 12,000 square feet in size.
Little Angels Learning Center is behind the project, which will provide childcare for up to 113 children between six weeks and five years old. The architect of record for the project will be handled by the firm UrbanWorks, whose designs have not yet been revealed.
Though no parking was indicated in the filing description, the property is situated just east of Route 8, with its Halsted & Marquette stop a two-minute walk from the site. Meanwhile, the closest CTA Green Line stop is Halsted station via a 10-minute walk north.
UJAMAA Construction will manage the $1.7 million project as general contractor. Though momentum for the project is already in effect with a separate foundation permit having already been issued, an official completion date has yet to be announced.
