Demolition Permits Issued for 6642 S Michigan Avenue in Greater Grand Crossing

A demolition permit was issued on Tuesday to remove a vacant two-story frame building located at 6642 S Michigan Avenue in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood. KFL Enterprises is serving as the demolition contractor. No permits or plans for a future build have been submitted at the time of this writing.

There are several nearby transit options including bus service for Route 29 via a four-minute walk west to the State & 66th Street stop. The CTA Red Line can be found at the 69th Street station via a 12-minute walk south. Commuters can also find easy access to both the Dan Ryan Expressway and the I-90 expressway. There are many dining and retail options within the vicinity.
