A permit was issued yesterday for a new four-story mixed-use building to be located at 2487 North Milwaukee Avenue in the Logan Square neighborhood. The owners are listed as Development Group and plans indicate this project will result in six total units and retail on the first floor. There will be rear porches on the second through fourth floors. For parking, there will be a one-vehicle garage on the first-floor level and a detached two-vehicle garage with its own roof deck. This development will replace a parking lot.
John C Hanna is listed as the structural engineer on this project. There are no publicly available renderings at this time.
The closest bus service available is Route 56 which can be found at Milwaukee & Sacramento via a two-minute walk east. The CTA Blue Line can be accessed at the Logan Square station via a nine-minute walk northwest along Milwaukee Avenue.
There is an abundance of retail and dining options in the vicinity, many of which are located within a few minutes’ walk along N Milwaukee Avenue. There are many green space opportunities at various public parks in the area.
BM UK Enterprise Company will act as the general contractor for the $2.96 million construction. A full timeline and an anticipated completion date have not yet been revealed.
