Podium of 360 N Green Street Fills Out in Fulton Market District

The lower levels of the superstructure are taking shape for 360 N Green Street, a 24-story mixed-use tower at the northeast corner of Fulton Market. The 399-foot-tall tower is being developed by Sterling Bay directly east of the Guinness Brewery, already in progress.

The tower will have 5,400 square feet of retail space and just under 500,000 square feet of Class A office space. The offices will offer high ceilings and large, flexible floor layouts. Tenants will have access to a fourth fitness center, an indoor/outdoor lounge area, and a new urban park with seating, open grass space, and various flora.

Gensler‘s design for the tower incorporates multiple interlocking rectangular volumes, anchored by truss supports. This will be wrapped in a modern curtain wall facade made of floor-to-ceiling windows and dark metal accents.

Parking will consist of an integrated garage with 90 total parking spaces. The closest public transit to this location includes Divvy Bike stations and Route 8 bus stops along Halsted Street. Commuters on Routes 56 and 65 can also find nearby service within a five-minute walk. For the CTA L, Grand station for the Blue Line is available via a four-minute walk north, while Morgan station for the Green and Pink Lines is only seven minutes southwest.

Power Construction is leading the charge on the $288 million build, which is projected to provide 473 construction jobs. Sterling Bay is also chipping in $4.4 million to the city’s neighborhood opportunity fund. The project is expected to be completed by 2024.

  2. At this point it feels like the city’s strategy to get solvent is to just surround the downtown area with blue glass boxes so we can charge visitors who want to see most of the noteworthy architecture in this town. No free peaks!

    Chicago needs a supertall tower in the west loop 80 stories and up even 60 stories chicago is where the skyscraper was invented IT CAN HAPPEN HOPEFULLY IT WILL HAPPEN, tired of being the 2nd city i love chicago

    • I think it could be in the next few years. 655 Madison was originally proposed as a single 971-foot tower so developers are thinking taller further west
