New permits were issued this past week for a new three-story residential building at 1362 W Hubbard Street in West Town. The permit owner is filed under Sean Walsh, and according to plans, the development will consist of three units, a basement, a rooftop deck, and a detached three-vehicle garage. The new structure will replace an existing two-flat.

John B. Stoneberg is the listed architect, and although neither drawings nor renderings have yet been revealed, multiple masonry contractors in the filing suggest this will be a brick design.

The closest bus service can be accessed at Route 65 via a three-minute walk north. There are also nearby stops for both Routes 9 and X9 via a seven-minute walk northwest. The CTA L Pink and Green Lines can be boarded at the Ashland station via a 10-minute walk southwest. Those hoping to board the Blue Line will find the Chicago station via a 12-minute walk northeast. Future residents will find numerous commercial corridors close by, including Grand Avenue and Fulton Market.

Chicago Elite Builders Inc is the general contractor for the $525,000 project. There is no anticipated completion date at this time.
