Demolition permits were issued at the end of last week for the removal of a two-story multi-unit building located at 4208 W Van Buren Street in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.
The property site is well situated for transportation with the nearest bus service for Route 7 at the Congress & Keeler stop, a two-minute walk south of the existing structure. For access to the CTA L, Blue Line service is available at the Pulaski station via a nine-minute walk south. There are a number of restaurants and retail options along S Pulaski Road.
Leeway Wrecking Inc will be acting as the demolition contractor on this project. The property has been vacant and in a state of disrepair for a prolonged period and at the time of this writing, no additional permits have been ordered at this property site.
