Date Announced for We Will Chicago’s Panel on Environment, Climate, and Energy

We Will Chicago Brochure

As previously reported “We Will Chicago” is the first citywide initiative of its kind since the “1966 Comprehensive Plan.” We Will’s efforts are still evolving, but the three-year citywide planning initiative prioritizes equity, resiliency, and engagement to create an inclusive vision for the future of Chicago. The program is hosting the virtual series with the goal to increase vibrancy throughout Chicago, by looking at models and practices brought about by global thought leaders.

The next event is scheduled for Thursday, July 28th, at 11 am CT. The event invites community members to get involved and engage in the upcoming Environment, Climate, and Energy Panel. The Chicago Council on Global Affairs will present and explore international models that advance the goal of environment, climate, and energy resiliency. You will hear from globally successful international initiatives and from City of Chicago leaders, including Angela Tovar, chief sustainability officer, City of Chicago, on the pertinent policies included in the We Will Chicago draft framework plan.

This is a seven-part series, and each will represent a pillar of the We Will Chicago plan. The program is actively seeking citywide participation and is highly encouraging community engagement and feedback.
