Permits were issued last week for another three-story residential building at 3624 S Western Avenue in McKinley Park. Developer 3600 S Western LLC has received permits for neighboring properties with a similar scope. Like the previous projects, this building will include six total units and an attached garage. The lot is currently unoccupied.
Ronald Vari is the architect of record. As of now, no drawings or renderings have been posted, however, the permit indicates a frame build.
Future residents will have CTA L access for the Orange Line at 35th/Archer station via a seven-minute walk east. The nearest bus services are Routes 49 and 49x which can be accessed via a three-minute walk south to the Western & Archer stop. Those looking to enjoy dining and retail options can find a plethora of offerings along nearby S Archer Avenue.
MPI Contracting Inc is also acting as the general contractor behind the reportedly $1.2 million construction. A timeline or completion date for the project has not yet been released.

wow they’re really building out this stretch, which is great to see.
Too bad 3 stories is the threshold. lots like these are where we need to build 8-10 story developments.
