Demolition permits have officially been issued for 3350 N Ashland Avenue in the Lake View neighborhood. YIMBY previously reported on the upcoming residential development in November 2021. The permits ensure the removal of the existing two-story masonry building to make way for a new four-story residential building with eight new units.

The upcoming building will be masonry-clad and will feature a total of eight parking spaces including four enclosed spots at the basement level of the building. The remaining parking spots will be on a surface-level lot.

The property site is also quite close to public transportation. Future residents will have access to the CTA Brown Line via the Paulina stop which is a five-minute walk from the property. Residents can also find CTA Route 9 directly across the street from the new building. There are plenty of dining options along N Lincoln Avenue and W Roscoe Street.

Platinum Homes Development will serve as the demolition contractor for the building. No projection date has been given for the completion of this project.
