A new construction permit was issued yesterday for a two-story residential building at 2842 W 23rd Street in the South Lawndale neighborhood. TA Development LLC is listed as the permit owner and plans indicate this project will yield three total units, a basement, and a three-car parking area at the rear of the building. There will be a basement level and a two-story deck complete with stairs. The project will replace a vacant lot. Stern Group Architects is listed as the architects of record.
Transportation will be readily available with the nearest bus service for Route 94 at the California & 23rd Street stop via a two-minute walk east. There are many retail, dining, and social options located within walking distance along nearby Cermak Road.
Keos Realty will act as the general contractor for the $450,000 construction. A full timeline and an anticipated completion date have not yet been revealed.
