A demolition permit was issued Thursday for the removal of a story masonry building, located at 5905 N Clark Street in Edgewater. The owner of the permit is listed as SLM Asset Management Inc.
The nearest bus access can be found for Route 22 at the Clark & Ardmore stop, directly in front of the structure. For access to the CTA L, Red Line service is available at the Thorndale station via a 14-minute walk east. There are also a number of restaurants and retail options along N Clark Street corridor.
Mulroy Demolition & Excavation will serve as the demolition contractor. At the time of this writing, no additional permits have been ordered at this property site.
