The permit’s owners have been listed as McBreaty Construction Company. Per plans, the construction will be comprised of three total dwelling units, each equipped with rear steel porches. The building will also be outfitted with an outdoor patio at the rear of the building. Plans also indicate the presence of a three-car garage. The property lot is currently vacant.
Charles E Schwartz is listed as the architect of record. No drawings or renderings have yet been disclosed.
The closest bus service to this property is Route 39 and can be found at the intersection of Pershing & Michigan via a four-minute walk southwest. The nearest CTA access is a five-minute walk south to the Indiana station where the Green Line can be boarded. There is plenty of green space available directly across the street at Anderson (Louis) Park. Shopping and dining options are also readily available along Indiana Avenue and neighboring streets.
McBreaty Construction Company will also serve as the general contractor for the $300,000 construction. A detailed timeline containing further information such as an anticipated completion date has not yet been revealed.

$300,000 construction to replace a beautiful old brick building. Trying building on one of the hundreds of vacant lots in this neighborhood instead of tearing down another building. What nonsense.

100,000 construction per door is pretty cheap. In 20 years these will be nice affordable places that replaced a vacant lot
