A permit was issued on Friday for a three-story residential building with a masonry facade at 6526 S Ingleside Avenue in the Woodlawn neighborhood. The proposed project’s owner is listed as Kingston DTA Group LLC. The scope of the project detail six total dwelling units. Plans indicate the presence of a two-car parking pad along with a detached four-car framed garage. The lot is currently vacant.

Charles E Schwartz is listed as the architect of record. No drawings or renderings have been disclosed at this time, however, as previously stated we do know that a masonry exterior is anticipated.

The CTA Green Line can be accessed at the Cottage Grove station via a 10-minute walk north. The nearest bus available is Route 4 and it can be found at the Cottage Grove & Marquette Road stop via a five-minute walk southeast. There are a number of grocery and dining options available within a five-minute walk.

DTA Group Inc will act as the general contractor for the $1 million construction. A full timeline and an anticipated completion date have not yet been revealed.

  1. Yay for using a vacant lot instead of demolishing another building! How about protecting that tree as well? Please don’t chop it down.
