A new permit has been issued for a 30,000-square-foot, one-story, steel construction building at 4001 S Normal Avenue in the New City neighborhood. The permit’s owners have been listed as Mico’s Express LLC. Plans indicate the building will be fully outfitted with sprinklers and will contain two interior storage tenant spaces, accessory offices, and outdoor storage yard. The project will involve laying a new foundation and at least one masonry retaining wall per plans.
Ronald Vari is the architect of record. At this time no renderings have been released.
The property is located near a variety of businesses and amenities along W Pershing Road. The nearest bus stop is Route 39 at the Pershing & Normal via a three-minute walk north. The nearest CTA L stop is the Red Line at the 47th Street station via an 18-minute walk east.
CPMH Construction Inc is serving as the general contractor for the $2.855 million project. At the time of this writing, no timeline has been released for a potential release completion date.
