A demolition permit was approved earlier this week to remove a two-story, multi-unit residential building, located at 2439 N Artesian Avenue in the Logan Square neighborhood. The permit’s owner has been listed as Peter Kuhn.

The closest bus services available are Route 74. This service can be found at the intersection of Fullerton & Western via a two-minute walk south. The lot is adjacent to the intersection of Fullerton and Western Avenues, which is full of many retail, dining, and nightlife options. Those looking to catch the CTA Blue Line may do so at the California station via a 14-minute walk southwest.

Quality Excavating Inc is serving as the demolition contractor. Permits have been submitted for plans to replace the current structure with a two-story single-family frame residence with a basement and a detached two-car garage. Plans also indicate that both structures will be outfitted with rooftop decks.

  1. It’s too bad this nice little gem of a home will be lost to the wrecking ball and replaced with something so unlike it’s next door neighbors.
