A permit was issued this week for a new seven-story residential building, located at 6027 N Kenmore Avenue in Edgewater. The developer, KPLN Holdings LLC, has planned for a total of 15 units, an elevator, a bike room, and an attached ground-level garage. The new construction will be replacing a previously vacant lot.
The architect of record is Drapszo Victor of Red Architects LTD.
As for transportation, the nearest bus access can be found for Routes 136, 147, and 151 via a six-minute walk east to Sheridan & Glenlake. For access to the CTA L, Red Line service is available at Bryn Mawr station via a 14-minute walk southwest.
Park space is available in the vicinity and the lakefront can be accessed via Lane Beach, both are a five-minute walk southeast. The mouth of the Lakefront trail is also an easily accessible eight-minute walk to the southeast.
I & M Construction Inc will serve as the general contractor for the $$4.5 million project. An anticipated completion date is not yet known.
