An emergency demolition permit has been issued for a two-story, multi-unit building in the Engelwood neighborhood. The permit’s owner has been listed as the City of Chicago. As of now, no plans appear to have been submitted to upgrade the zoning designation for the property or for any future constructions.
The closest bus service for Route 50 can be found at the intersection of Damen & Roscoe via a one-minute walk north. The nearest CTA Brown Line access is at Paulina station via a nine-minute walk northeast.
There are a number of restaurants and retail options along Roscoe Street and the North Lincoln Avenue corridor.
KLF Excavating is serving as the demolition contractor. Currently, no construction permits have yet been filed or issued, and an anticipated completion date has not yet been announced.
