Permits were approved this week for a new four-story residential building planned by Full Circle Communities Inc, located at 6009 W Lawrence Avenue in Portage Park. The developer’s plans comprise of 22 total dwellings, ground-floor amenity space, and a rear parking lot with 21 parking spaces and one loading zone. The construction is set to replace a vacant grass lot, so no additional demolition permits are needed.
Jaime Torres of the Chicago-based firm Canopy / architecture + design is the listed architect of record. No drawings or renderings have yet been revealed, and details regarding the design features remain unknown.
Closest bus service can be found for Route 91, located at the adjacent intersection of Austin & Lawrence. Additional service for Route 81W just paces to the northeast at Lawrence & Austin/Mason. Closest rail service can be found for the Metra and CTA L’s adjacent Jefferson Park stations, both within a 20-minute walk northeast.
With a construction price tag of just under $6.1 million, Henry Bros. Co. is serving as the general contractor. A full completion timeline has not been revealed.
