Construction permits have been issued for a new two-story residential building situated at 9128 S Burley Avenue in South Chicago. Claretian Associates Inc. is the filing owner, whose plans comprise of two dwellings atop a basement level. Much of the construction has already taken place, with the main exterior frame having been built in 2008 under a now-voided permit.
The partially-complete frame structure has a beige vinyl exterior with a gabled roof. Current Street View photos show that much of the remaining outside work involves window and porch installation. Jeff Bone of Landon Bone Baker is the architect of record.
As for transportation, future residents will find stops for Route 95 via a minute walk south to the intersection of Burley & 92nd Street. Also in close proximity are stops for Route 26, 30, 87, and 95 via a two-minute walk northeast to 91st Street & Buffalo. Meanwhile, anyone looking to board Metra trains will find the South Chicago (93rd) station via a two-minute walk northeast.
The final $188,000 construction phase is being carried out by B & D Specialty Corp. A final construction timeline has not been mentioned.
