A foundation and shell permit has been issued for a new single-story warehouse building at 3740 S Morgan Avenue in Bridgeport. IDIL 3700 Morgan LLC is the filing owner, whose planned structure will stand 43 feet and span nearly 180,000 square feet. While currently an empty lot, the parcel at one point housed a now-demolished masonry warehouse building.

Current company Andrew Dell of Macgregor Associates Architects is the permit’s listed architect of record. No drawings or renderings have been released. It is also unclear what the main materials will be, though a masonry contractor has been included, suggesting the use of brick.

For transportation, 108 surface parking spaces will be included on site. While no rail access is available within walking distance, those looking for public transit options will find Route 39 via a three-minute walk south to Pershing & Morgan. Other bus lines within walking distance comprise of Route 8 to the east and Route 35 to the north.

Principle Construction Corporation is the general contractor behind the roughly $9.3 million project. The existing asphalt and concrete slab received demolition permits in April of this year, thereby allowing construction to proceed. Further timeline details for the warehouse remain unknown.
