Exterior Work Nears Completion on PLSN Condos’s Fourth Building at 816-832 W Cullerton Street in Pilsen

Exterior work is nearing completion on the fourth building of PLSN Condos, located at 816-832 W Cullerton Street in Pilsen. Located along W Cullerton Street, the site is between S Halsted Street and S Peoria Street. Public 2 LLC is the developer behind the project.

Designed by Hanna Architects, the development is made up of four parcels with three buildings at 816 W Cullerton Street, 822 W Cullerton Street, 826 W Cullerton Street, and 832 W Cullerton Street. Construction is progressing on the development and is overall significantly complete. All of the buildings are designed similarly, with each having four floors, except 832 W Cullerton Street, which has three floors.

816 W Cullerton Street, 822 W Cullerton Street, and 826 W Cullerton Street will consist of three almost identical buildings, each four stories tall and with six residential units, totaling 18 units for the development. Buildings at 822 and 826 W Cullerton Street will feature a basement, while 816 W Cullerton Street will feature retail space on the first floor without a basement. 832 W Cullerton is the fourth building, rising three stories and holding five residential units. Work is complete on the first three buildings at 822 W Cullerton Street, 826 W Cullerton Street, and 832 W Cullerton Street.

At 816 W Cullerton Street, exterior work is almost complete. Windows have been fully installed on the residential floors, while the ground-floor retail space has been temporarily enclosed with plastic tarps. Interior work is continuing for the residential units and retail space. The retail storefronts await installation. At the rear of the building, an expected garage awaits construction. Foundations have been installed for the garage.

The nearest CTA bus transportation are Routes 8 and 62, accessed at the Halsted and Cullerton stop, within a one-minute walk from the site.

DOM Properties Investment is in charge of the construction of the project. The development began deliveries in fall 2020. Due to the staggered construction, this deadline is most likely intended for the initial units, with the rest of the development likely to complete within the next year.
