Construction permits have been issued for a two-story residential building located at 5222 W Crystal Street in North Austin. Filed under co-owners GT Alternatives LLC and Kalistrate Kakhiani, the building will house two total dwelling units. Additional features include a rear porch, a detached two-car garage, and one outdoor parking space. Currently, the site is occupied by a vacant grass lot.

Stern Group Architects LLC is the architect of record behind the project. No renderings or drawings have yet been revealed, and it is not confirmed if the structure will be masonry or frame.
Nearest bus access includes north and southbound stops for Route 57, located a two-minute walk northeast to Laramie & Potomac. Additional east and westbound stops are available for Route 70, available at Division & Laramie, a two-minute walk southeast. Other buses within a 10-minute walking radius comprise of Route 72 to the north and Route 85 to the west.
Residents wishing to board the CTA L Green Line can find Laramie station via a 24-minute walk south.
Future residents will also find nearby outdoor space at the 18.7-acre La Follette Park, which is accessible via a two-minute walk northeast.
GT Alternatives LLC is also the general contractor behind the construction, expected to cost $300,000. A full completion timeline is not currently known.
