Permits have been issued for 4200-4202 N Kildare Avenue, a residential building planned to replace a previously empty lot in the Old Irving Park neighborhood.

The site is adjacently east of I-90, at the corner of N Kildare Avenue and W Berteau Avenue. Nearby bus access consists of a nine-minute walk south to the Irving Park & Keeler stop for routes 54A and 80. Additional bus access can be found via a 13-minute walk southeast to the Pulaski & Irving Park stop on route 53. Lastly, route 78 is an 11-minute walk northeast to the Montrose & Elston stop. CTA L access includes a 10-minute walk southeast to the Blue Line’s Irving Park station. Belding Elementary School is also near the property, with less than a two-minute walk east to its south field.

The developer and owner, listed as A & D Development Leonard Di Cristofano, is planning two units, as well as a basement with wooden stairs in the front and rear of the building. A & D has also listed a detached garage with two parking spaces to be included in the project.

The architect of record is Stern Group Architects, whose design has not yet been disclosed. However masonry contractors have been listed, suggesting stone or brick along the facade.

A & D Development is also serving as general contractor for the site, whose $400,000 project’s completion date has not yet been indicated.
