Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building in the Boystown neighborhood of Lake View East. The site is a two-minute walk west from the intersection of W Aldine Avenue and N Halsted Street, where bus route 8 stops. A four-minute walk southwest from the address is the intersection of N Halsted Street and W Belmont Avenue, where additional bus routes 7, 151, and 156 are serviced. This area around the intersection also contains a wide variety of bars, restaurants, and retail. CTA L access can be reached via an eight-minute walk southwest to Belmont Station, on the Brown, Purple, and Red Lines. Additional points of interest include the 12-minute walk east to the waterfront by Belmont Harbor, and an 18-minute walk northwest along N Clark Street to Wrigleyville.
According to the permit the owner of the property is Aldine 724 LLC. Plans for the site call for a masonry-clad building with three bedrooms, as well as a basement, a detached three-car garage, and roof terraces on both the main structure and the garage. Christopher Boehm of Chicago-based 360 Design Studio is listed as the architect of record, along with G Corp as the general contractor.
A completion date has not yet been indicated for the development expected to cost $765,150.
