The City of Chicago has issued a new construction permit to erect a two-story plus basement, two-unit residence at 8255 South Green Street in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood. The subject parcel lies on the northeast corner of Green and West 83rd Streets and has been vacant for at least 15 years, as far back as Google Street View can show. The site is large enough for additional development, but there are no other permits for this end of the block pending in the Chicago Data Portal.
