Monica Chadha of Civic Projects Architects is named as the architect of record for the building. That it will be three stories and three units are the only details provided in the permit for the residences. A detached three-car garage will be built on the alley off East 48th Street. Crown Construction Company will be the general contractor.

A second permit for the lot awaits in the Chicago Data Portal as of May 27 for 4755 South Michigan. Its details read exactly the same as the first, with three units and three garage spaces. It is not clear if the six new residences will be rentals or for sale.

Residents of 4751 and 4755 South Michigan will live within a two-block walk of the 47th Green Line elevated platform at 47th Street and South Prairie Avenue. To the west, the 47th Red Line platform is about half a mile away at the Dan Ryan Expressway. Westbound #47 buses, which make stops one block north of the new homes, can be used to connect with red Line Trains. North-south bus service is available two blocks west at State Street via Route 29, and four blocks east via the #3 bus at South MLK Drive.
