Another batch of townhomes has been permitted on a Bridgeport lot that has already seen two rows of homes erected. Skyriver Throop Development LLC got a permit on May 18 to erect nine connected townhomes at 2631 South Throop Street, a permit they submitted an application for on April 1, just 49 days prior. It comes with a reported cost of $1.15 million.

Each townhome will include two stories plus a basement, with an attached single-car garage. Vari Architects is the architect of record, and MPI Contracting, Inc is the general contractor. That same team has already completed two sets of townhomes on the lot: nine were permitted for construction at 2615 South Throop in August 2020, and nine more were authorized for 2619 South Throop in September 2022. They’ve also built more than a dozen individual single-family homes on this same block over the past decade or so.

Residents of the townhomes will live within a five-block walk of the Halsted Orange Line elevated platform, which also acts as a hub for Route 8, 44, and 62 buses. The Route 62 bus at Archer Avenue is three blocks away, and can be used to connect to that hub.
