A three-story three-flat has been permitted for construction at 4331 South Indiana Avenue in the Bronzeville neighborhood. Applied for on March 18th, the permit came through on May 23rd with Landex Holding Company named as the developer. The reported construction cost with this permit is $420,000.

Charles Schwartz is the architect of record, with Crown Construction Company of Oak Lawn serving as the general contractor. The masonry building will have a rear steel stairway connecting metal decks on all three floors, plus a concrete patio at the back. A three-car garage, also of masonry construction, will be built at the back of the property on the alley off 33rd Street.
The new homes fill a vacant lot created when the city ordered a 2012 emergency demolition permit for a boarded-up three-story building on the site.

4331 South Indiana Avenue is located two blocks from the 43rd Green Line elevated train platform at 43rd Street and Prairie Avenue. The CTA’s Route 43 bus has stops mere steps from the new homes on the north end of the block for east-west travel. For transit going north and south, Route 29 buses west at State Street and Route 3 buses east at King Drive are each within a three-block walk.
