The City of Chicago issued a permit on January 31 to construct a three-story with basement, three-unit building at 4827 South St. Lawrence Avenue in Grand Boulevard. The permit shows an application date of May 20, 2024, and names Jacob Da Builder as the developer and general contractor, with an estimated construction cost of just over $1 million.

Site context of 4827 South St. Lawrence via Google Maps
Details for the Hanna Architects-designed property include rear porches on all three levels, connected by a steel stairway. A detached two-car garage will be located off the alley accessed from 48th Street to the north, or 49th Street from the south. The site is currently vacant; a demolition permit assigned to the same address for a two-story masonry residence was issued in June of 2010. It’s a double lot, with 4825 South St. Lawrence also standing unimproved, but there are no pending permits in the Chicago Data Portal for that half of the site.

Interesting. I thought this company folded after his passing. I wonder who is leading the company and this development.
