A new construction permit has been issued for a proposed three-story, six-unit residence at 1412 North Elk Grove Avenue in Wicker Park. The building, when complete, will feature a roof deck, first floor terrace, second floor balcony, and attached two- and four-vehicle garages with roof decks. The permit is conditionally approved pending the release of a different full wrecking permit.
Construction is expected to cost $2,883,000. Various fees totaling $12,005.15 have been paid, with $11,091.15 still unpaid.
Plans were designed by architect John Hanna. The property owner is Volo Holdings LLC-1410 Elk Grove Series.

We are all slowly saying goodbye to the history of Chicago with each of these classic buildings being torn down.
Can’t wait to see the piece of garbage that Hanna will replace it with.
Yeah it makes little sense to replace what appears to be a solid classic piece of Chicago architecture that is 3 stories with something new and bland and also 3 stories. I don’t get it.
I suspect the neighboring lot at 1410 plus the odd shaped parcel next to that is part of this development so a double lot, 6 unit building.
