The City of Chicago has issued a permit for new at 4008 South Prairie Avenue in Bronzeville. The scope of work includes interior and exterior renovations to a 24-unit, three-story residential apartment building. Work will involve electrical, mechanical, plumbing and structural upgrades according to the approved plans.
Plans were designed by architect April Hughes. The property is owned by the Chicago Housing Authority. Construction is expected to cost approximately $5,500,000.
Fees paid to date total $375, with $16,980.12 in fees still outstanding, bringing the total permit fee to $17,355.12. The property is within a short walk of the Indiana CTA Station, which services the Green Line.
