A new construction permit has been issued for a project located at 2332 West Washington Boulevard in Near West Side. The permit was applied for on June 1 and officially issued on August 12. The construction process is being handled under the self-certification review process, which took 72 days to complete.
The project entails the erection of a 3-story, 3-dwelling unit masonry building, which includes a roof deck with an access stair enclosure and a 3-car detached garage. Additional work on the site will include the installation of a 6-foot iron fence and a privacy fence along the side property lines.
The total fees associated with this permit amount to $5,602.00, including a building fee of $2,850.00, a zoning fee of $1,500.00, and other fees totaling $1,252.00. These fees have all been paid, with no outstanding balances. The total reported cost for this construction project is $1,300,000.00.
The architect for the project is Michael Cox. When complete, the property will be a short walk from the United Center as well as stops for the Green Line.

  1. Good to see the West Loop growth isn’t being contained east of Damen like it was for a while. This area is actually turning into more of a neighborhood again
