Permit Issued For New Residential Building At 1646 North Orchard Street In Lincoln Park

A permit has been issued for a new construction project at 1646 North Orchard Street in Lincoln Park. The permit was issued on June 24 through a self-certification process that took 35 days.

The project involves the construction of a 4-story, 5-dwelling unit residential building. The building will feature a rooftop deck, pergola, rooftop stair enclosures, rear terraces at the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd stories, and a rear deck at the 4th story. A detached 6-car garage with a rooftop deck and a 6-foot high will also be constructed.

The reported cost of the project is $2,455,800. Various fees were paid for the permit, including a $10,256.81 building fee, a $576 zoning fee, and $1,880 in other fees, totaling $12,712.81. John Hanna is responsible for the project’s designs.
