A permit for renovation and alteration has been issued for an existing two-unit building located at 1507 South Tripp Avenue In North Lawndale. The permit, which was issued on May 3, 2024, following a standard plan review, includes interior remodeling and alterations, a third-floor dormer addition, a new third-floor rear open deck with stairs, and a rear porch replacement with an open deck and stairs.
The project is owned by HIP Developments LLC and has a planned cost of approximately $150,000.00. The permit process took 107 days from the application start date of January 17 until the issue date. Plans were designed by local architect Peter Sterniuk.
The total fee for the permit is $1,079.30, which includes building fees and zoning fees. A portion of the fees ($375.00) has been paid, while the remaining $704.30 is currently unpaid.
1507 South Tripp Avenue is located a short walk from bus service for Routes 18 and 53. Beyond that, it is a 12-minute walk from the Kostner CTA Station, which services the Pink Line.
