A new construction permit has been issued for a three-story, three-dwelling unit building located at 2917 North Elston Avenue in Avondale. The permit, which was issued on April 16, is a self-certified permit under the 2019 Chicago Building Code.
The new property plans to feature a basement, rooftop deck, rooftop stair enclosure, rear terrace at the first story, and rear decks with stairs at the first, second, and third stories. A detached three-vehicle garage with a rooftop deck will also be constructed on the property.
The permit application was submitted on February 2, and the permit was issued after a processing time of 74 days. The total fee for the permit was $6,542.00. The project will be overseen by EZMB LLC, working alongside John Hanna, a self-certified architect based in Chicago.
The reported cost of the construction is estimated to be $1,240,575.00. When complete, 2917 North Elston Avenue will be located steps from bus service for Routes 49, X49, and 76. Beyond that, it will be a 25-minute walk from the Logan Square CTA Station, which services the Blue Line.
