A construction permit was granted for a new residential development at 4441 N Ashland Avenue in Ravenswood. The four-story building will include six dwelling units, a finished basement, a penthouse stair enclosure, and a roof deck. Additionally, the site plans feature a detached garage with a roof deck. The property, currently a vacant lot, is owned by Cornel Contac.
Architect Eduard Livanu is leading the design for the development, although no design drawings or renderings have been made public at this time.
The site will include a detached garage, but the number of parking spots has not been specified. Closest bus service includes Route 78 stops via Montrose & Ashland, a two-minute walk south. The next closest bus line is Route 22 at Clark & Sunnyside, a four-minute walk northeast, as well Route 81 at Wilson & Clark, a six-minute walk northeast. Meanwhile, the closest CTA Brown Line service is available at Montrose, an eight-minute walk southwest.
Concorp Remodeling Inc. is the general contractor for the project, with a reported construction cost of $500,000. No estimated completion date has been announced.
