A construction permit has been granted for a new residential development at 2636 W Evergreen Avenue in Humboldt Park. The approved three-unit masonry structure will be accompanied by a rear steel porch and a parking area, according to the permit description. The development will replace a now-demolished masonry residence.
The project is owned by Jamel Mansur, with Daniel R. Ford as the architect of record. Parking will be provided in a new area at the rear of the property, though the exact number of spaces was not specified.
Transit near the property consists of bus service for Route 94 via a four-minute walk west to California & Evergreen and Route 70 via a five-minute walk south to Division & Washtenaw. The site is also within a five-minute walk from the Humboldt Park grounds to the west.
Mansur Capital Investments LLC is the general contractor for this development, which has a reported construction cost of $350,000. A completion date for the project has not been announced.
