The future residents will benefit from a 44-vehicle parking garage, a second-floor roof deck with a landscaped garden overlooking the garage, a community room, fitness center, and resident lounge.

The building’s now-installed facade is clad with gray and white precast concrete panels, along with colored metal panel accents and a storefront window system on the ground floor.

The closest transit options are the Wilson CTA Red Line Station, along with bus stops for Routes 36, 78, 81, 136, 146, 148, and 151.
The $42.1 million project has been funded by both the Illinois Housing Development Authority and the owner’s equity. With Linn-Mathes as general contractor, move-ins are now imminent.

Affordable housing is a scam and holding the city back. Should be abolished.
Such a poor design, imagine living one’s last days in this abomination makes me sad for the future residents. Beauty and elegance are just absent.
@jack Crawford do you have any idea why many affordable housing developments in Chicago have multicolor facade? I’m sure intentions are good, but it never blends with the neighborhood and makes it seem like the developer wants everyone to know this is affordable housing. It makes me uncomfortable.
@Tony Because almost all of these buildings are designed by the same architecture firm, Landon Bone Baker, and they have a signature style that’s cheap to build (prefab concrete, metal panels, etc.) and appeals to the affordable housing developers.
There’s so much potential for creativity when using precast concrete and Brinshore / Landon Bone Baker squander most of it. As if a splash of paint and a slight crook is enough to give this behemoth substance
