A permit was approved earlier this week for a new three-story residential building to be located at 4311 S Indiana Avenue in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood. This will be an owner-occupied building. The owner is listed as Stephen Talty and plans indicate this project is a frame structure and will yield three total units and a detached three-car masonry garage. The development will replace a vacant lot.
Michael Ryan is listed as the architect of record. While there aren’t any further details available at this time, the permit does indicate the presence of masonry contractors.
Transportation is readily available with the nearest bus service available for Route 43 at the 43rd Street & Indiana stop via a one-minute walk north. The CTA Green Line can also be accessed at the 43rd Street station via a four-minute walk east. There are many retail, dining, and lodging options in the vicinity, many of which are located within walking distance along 43rd Street.
Campus Construction, Inc will act as the general contractor for the $200,000 construction. A full timeline and an anticipated completion date have not yet been revealed.

Really great to see vacant lots being rebuilt in the Bronzeville/Grand boulevard and Woodlawn neighborhoods. Hope the South Side investment continues and expands out to more neighborhoods.
