Permits Issued for 6506 S Ingleside Avenue in Woodlawn

Construction permits have now been approved for a three-story, three-unit residential development planned for Woodlawn‘s 6506 S Ingleside Avenue. The listed owner, GA Roslyn LLC, also plans for a three-story rear metal stairs and covered porch, as well as a three-car rear parking pad. The new construction will be adjacent to a second building located at 6508 S Ingleside Avenue, also planned by GA Roslyn LLC. Both structures will replace a vacant grass parcel.

Stern Group Architects LLC is serving as the architect of record. While plans for the design have not yet been published, the multiple masonry contractors included in the permit. These dual masonry contractors, as well as the mention of a masonry design in the 6508 S Ingleside Avenue permit (with Stern Group Architects also as architect), may indicate a stone or brick facade for 6506 S Ingleside Avenue.

Future residents have bus access to Route 4 at the intersection of Cottage Grove & 65th Street, located via a four-minute walk west. Meanwhile, Routes 5, 67, and 95 can be found at the intersection of 67th Street & Ingleside via a four-minute walk south. Lastly, Route 53 is available via a five-minute walk north to the intersections of 63rd Street & Ingleside and 63rd Street & Ellis.

For those looking to board the CTA L Green Line, closest service is available at Cottage Grove station via a nine-minute walk northwest. Metra rail service is also nearby, with the 63rd Street station via a 15-minute walk northeast.

As with 6508 S Ingleside Avenue, DTA Group Inc is serving as general contractor for the $490,000 construction. Currently, it is unclear when either building will be complete.
