Permits have been issued for a new four-story residential building at 1831 N Larrabee Street in Lincoln Park. Filed under 1829 Larrabee LLC, the new structure will house a total of four units, while featuring a rooftop deck and stair enclosure, a first-floor rear terrace, a rear porch and staircase along floors two through four, and a four-car garage at the basement. A portion of the garage will extend from the main building, and will be topped by additional deck space.

John Hanna of Hanna Architects is the listed architect of record. No drawings or renderings have yet been posted, though the multiple masonry contractors included in the filing may likely indicate a brick or stone design.

Closest bus access for Route 73 can be found via a four-minute walk north to Armitage & Larrabee. Residents will also find stops for Route 37 via a nine-minute walk northeast and the Route 8 bus line can be found via a 10-minute walk west to 1900 N Halsted Street. For the CTA L, closest Brown and Purple Line trains can be boarded at Sedgwick station, a 12-minute walk southeast. Meanwhile, Red Line trains are available at the North/Clybourn station, a 12-minute walk southwest.

The heavily residential vicinity offers an assortment of various smaller green spaces, such as Bauler Park, Sedgwick Park, Hudson Chess Park, and Ella Jenkins Park all within a 10-minute walk. Slightly further east is the sprawling Lincoln Park, with activities such as the zoo and North Avenue beach both within walking distance.

The development will replace a one-story residence under the address 1829 N Larrabee Street, which received demolition permits late last month. Bachula Development Inc will now oversee the construction, with an anticipated completion date has not yet been revealed.
