Fargo Group LLC is named as the general contractor for the two builds, and they are also the property owners using the entity of Irongate Development LLC. The architect of record is Angel Sida of Studio 117 Architects. Plans call for two three-story, three-unit buildings with three surface parking spaces apiece. There will be two-story rear wood porches, and each property will be enclosed by six-foot wood and 5-foot wrought iron fencing.
The application start date for 5542 South Wabash is May 15 of this year, and it comes with a reported cost of $550,000. The last day of May is the start date for 5544 South Wabash, and its reported cost is $450,000.

Those living in the six new units will reside within a block of east-west CTA bus service via Route 55 to the north at East Garfield Boulevard and a north-south route via #29 buses west along South State Street. The Garfield Red Line platform west at the Dan Ryan Expressway and the Garfield Green Line platform east near South Calumet Avenue are each within a half-mile walk of home. Buses on route 3, 24, and 59 are also within reasonable walking distance of about half a mile.
